Arte: Soneto

Old Path at Auvers, 1863 by Berthe Morisot
The sirens sing and the lullaby is tuned
Right into the heart it bloomed
Before the hand, the head turned
And what once was a man, became legend.

The old one once foretold
Seven would try and hold
And none will be enough
To bring you the oak nor the gold

After nine of them are past
Simple sight will review the passage
And that man will finally last

Next to the ultimate breath
Old and weak will once again reborn
And through the gates of eternity walk
